Navigation Service Providers
Find an ACC Navigation Service Provider
Not sure where to start? ACC navigation services can help people understand the ACC process, what steps to take next, and where to find the right support.
Support to help you understand ACC
The ACC system can be confusing, especially when people are dealing with injury, trauma, stress, financial pressure, or complex decisions.
Navigation services are designed to help people better understand ACC processes, letters, decisions, entitlements, and support pathways.
What is an ACC navigation service?
A navigation service helps people understand where they are in the ACC process and what options may be available. This may include explaining ACC wording, helping people understand decisions, and guiding them toward the right next step.
Navigation support is especially useful when people feel unsure, overwhelmed, or do not know whether they need an advocate, lawyer, or another support service.
You do not need to understand the ACC system alone
Many people contact a navigation service simply because they feel confused, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next.
Navigator, advocate, or lawyer?
A navigator may help explain the process and point you toward suitable support. An advocate may help you deal more directly with ACC, especially where a claim is delayed, declined, or disputed.
A lawyer may be needed for more complex review, appeal, or legal matters. Many people start with navigation support before deciding what level of help they need.
What navigation services may help with
- Understanding ACC letters and decisions
- Knowing what steps to take next
- Understanding available support pathways
- Explaining ACC processes in plain language
- Helping people prepare questions for ACC
- Guidance around reviews, disputes, or declined claims
- Connecting people with advocates, lawyers, or support services where needed
When people commonly seek help
People may contact a navigation service when:
- They do not understand an ACC decision
- Their claim has been delayed or declined
- They are unsure what support they may be entitled to
- They feel overwhelmed by forms, letters, or phone calls
- They are dealing with a sensitive claim
- They need help understanding weekly compensation, treatment, or rehabilitation support
- They are unsure whether they need an advocate or lawyer
